Services on offer include:
All Non-NHS services attract a fee such as Medical Insurance forms, Sickness Benefit Forms, Fit to Travel forms, Medication to Take Abroad Confirmation, Holiday Cancellation Forms, Pre-Employment Medicals, Sports Medicals, HGV Medicals etc.
They are carried out by the Doctors as a private service to patients at their discretion. Please enquire for fee rates.
Please call 01785 828 916 between 2pm and 3.30pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.
Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.
It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
EMiS Access is an online website that allows patients to book/view/cancel their appointments online. As well as order and monitor the progress of their repeat prescriptions. The service is an increasingly popular method of accessing the surgery due to its 24hr availability. Please note that any prescriptions ordered out of surgery hours will be ready 48hrs from the next time we are open.
To access the website you can click on any of the blue EMIS Access symbols found on our website.
If you are interested in using this service then you will need to attend the surgery and ask one our receptionists to register. Due to the access to sensitive information we ask all patients to bring in a form of photographic identification when registering.
Many of you may not be aware that we have a automatic blood pressure (BP) machine in the surgery for patients to self monitor their BP free of charge. Monitoring your blood pressure on a regular basis has many benefits for you and also helps your GP to manage your conditions better. The machine is located next to the pharmacy and outside the health promotion room.
The nurse or doctor may recommend that you self monitor your blood pressure over a week at home, you will be loaned a BP machine from the surgery for this purpose.

If you do have your BP tested then please pass the result on to your GP. There is a box by the BP machine for depositing your result. Keeping your doctor informed will help them make the appropriate care choices for you.

The Gnosall Primary Care Memory Clinic has been operating since 2006 and adds the skills of a
specialist old age psychiatrist to the extensive skills and knowledge available in primary care. Key
to the organisation and function of the clinic is the eldercare facilitator, a new role situated in
primary care who links with the specialist and a wide range of other agencies and people to support the
person with a memory problem.

Models of Dementia Care
The surgery offers travel vaccination and health advice for patients travelling abroad. Please ask at reception for a travel form for each person who is travelling and complete with your detailed travel itinerary. You must include the citys/towns you are visiting as well as country.
After handing your completed travel form into the surgery you willl be advised about booking your appointment for the Travel clinic. As this is a busy service the practice nurse needs a minimum 4-6 weeks notice before you travel.

Gnosall Surgery is pleased to offer appointments with a 'wellbeing worker' These practitioners can support people experiencing any of the following: Stress, Anxiety, Low mood, Sleep hygiene, Bereavement, Social isolation, Financial worries, Relationship issues.
